Stop Rishi Sunak's Plan to Limit Access to Sick Notes

Stop Rishi Sunak's Plan to Limit Access to Sick Notes
The Issue
As someone personally affected by this issue, I am deeply concerned about Rishi Sunak's intention to strip GPs of their power to sign people off work. This is a part of his plan to tackle what he calls the UK's "sick note culture". The Prime Minister believes that benefits have become a "lifestyle choice" for some, leading to an escalating welfare bill. If the Tories win the general election, Mr Sunak wants it harder for some patients, particularly those with disabilities, to obtain a sick note.
This proposed change has been met with anger from disability charities like Scope who see these plans as "a full-on assault on disabled people". It is estimated that there are 14.1 million disabled people in the UK (Office for National Statistics), many of whom rely on sick notes for support and understanding in their workplaces.
These changes could potentially leave millions without necessary support and further marginalize an already vulnerable group within our society. We must stand against this proposal and protect the rights of all individuals regardless of their health status.
He is discriminating against disabilities rights, and he needs to step down as PM.
