Stop proposed Goodwood Oval redevelopment

The issue

Unley Council has a costed proposal to redevelop the Goodwood Oval precinct, the detail of which (to date ) is not on their website. It totals $6m and includes removing approximately 50% of the hockey pitch for development - tennis court extension and 17 new cricket nets. This takes away a large area of non sport allocated green space which is heavily utilised by the local residents for walking, dog walking, exercise and recreation. There has been ZERO public consultation and there is now a proposed allocation of funds in the Council forward budget to start the tennis club works.

The "un-affiliated" users of the precinct and local residents strongly object to this project going forward and demand a full and wide ranging consultation process be undertaken before ANY further steps are taken to progress this project.

Comments to Council close 26 May so please sign asap.
