“Stop Pay Cuts and Break Removal for Angard/Royal Mail Mail Sorters”

The Issue

Angard/Royal Mail workers at every Hub have been told that our pay rates will be reduced and our breaks made unpaid from September 2025. After two years of working under agreed pay rates — including nights, weekends, and holidays — this decision feels unfair and disrespectful.

( what happened in the past)

The “administrative error” explanation.
Pay rate reduction and unpaid breaks.
Timing of the change (Sept 29, 2025).
That no repayments are being reclaimed, but the future cut is substantial.

(Impact on workers )

“This means less money for the same hours worked.”
“Colleagues have built their lives and bills around these rates.”
“It’s unfair to punish workers for an error we didn’t make.”
“These changes come during a cost-of-living crisis, when many are already struggling.”

(Demands)

1. Maintain the current rates of pay and paid breaks for all colleagues who started before April 2025.

2. Apply any new rates or unpaid break policies only to new starters from September 29, 2025.

3. Commit to consulting staff representatives before making future changes.

( Closing Call to Action )

This is not just about pay — it’s about fairness, respect, and recognition for the hard work Angard colleagues provide every day. Please sign and share this petition so together we can show Angard and Royal Mail that workers deserve to be treated with dignity.
