Starting from 2024, girls in years 10-12 at Marist Catholic College Penshurst will be forced to tuck in the summer top into the skirt. 

This is problematic for a variety of reasons:

1. It looks absolutely ridiculous and makes the uniform very unflattering.
2.  It will accentuate the torso area which may cause a number of girls to feel self-conscious and  uncomfortable as they may feel more exposed by having the shirt so tight. For those girls who are already struggling with self-image, wearing the uniform like this is going to only worsen their self-esteem making the school a negative environment for them to receive education.
3.  The top was designed to sit over the skirt and by going against that the uniform looks unprofessional.
4. There is a large number of girls who roll their skirt so that it is able to fit them properly and they will have to pay to get it tailored because of a rule that the school is deciding to implement over something that is not that big of a deal!
