The Issue

Nine years ago, I became a proud parent, dedicated to nurturing and protecting my son, who is diagnosed with severe autism. His safety and well-being have always been my top priority. For the past five years, I have solely taken care of him, despite facing perpetual threats and immense challenges from the local Hillingdon Council. The council has unfortunately sided against me, largely due to my son's mother being a band 7 physiotherapist and a member of a major organization and community.

My fight to keep my son safe hasn't been easy. The local authorities have not only supported his mother, despite serious safeguarding concerns, but they have also forcibly separated my son from me. Recently, they dragged him away against his wishes to live with his mother, a decision that raises grave concerns about his welfare.

My son's mother has a history of neglect and has tried to harm him in the past. Despite these facts, the local Hillingdon Council continues to support her, disregarding my son’s needs for a safe and nurturing environment. This is an unjust and risky decision that could have severe implications on my son's health and happiness.

Autistic Pride Month should be a time to celebrate and support individuals with autism, ensuring they are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. Instead, my son is being forced into a neglectful setting. We must urge the Hillingdon Council to reconsider their stance and prioritize the safety and well-being of children who, like my son, require consistent and loving care.

Let's raise our voices against this injustice. By signing this petition, you support not just my son's right to stay in a safe environment, but also advocate for policy changes that protect autistic children from being unjustly separated from their primary caregivers.

Please sign this petition to call for an immediate reassessment of the custody arrangements and bring my son back to a safe and loving home with a parent who truly cares for his well-being.
