Stop Laurel Springs RV Park. Protect Lakewood Cove wildlife and community!

The Issue

We are the residents of Lakewood Cove, Kingwood, TX 77339, and adjacent neighborhoods, seeking your help to petition for the immediate cease of the project Laurel Springs RV Park of the company Higbie Ventures (Project number / permit number: 20073449; RV park site address: 1355 Laurel Springs Ln., Houston, TX 77339).

The RV park is immediately across the street Laurel Springs Ln from our houses. If fully carried out, it will directly and seriously impact the traffic and environment of our community. More than 20 acres of trees cut down and wildlife killed will impact the noise level, safety, air quality, and look and feel of our neighborhood. It may also increase the likelihood of flooding because the current land with swamps and flora is where water can drain during rainstorms. We also have serious concerns about the safety of our children and the health and well being of our residents, some of whom are veterans, considering the increased traffic and residents who will not necessarily abide by the rules of our HOA. With all of these changes combined, in the long term, the RV park will also affect the values of our homes. The full plan of the RV Park is shown here: https://www.higbieplans.com/jobs/218/plans/laurel-springs-rv-park

Although Higbie Ventures had obtained the permit from the City of Houston, we as residents of Lakewood Cove had never been informed of this project. We only found out on October 22 after seeing the trees being cut down and seeking information online. We therefore need your help to immediately stop the project before further and irreversible damage is done. Could you please help us?

Thank you,

Residents of Lakewood Cove and nearby neighborhoods, Kingwood, TX 77339
