A year after the horsemeat scandal, Which? research has found that 40% of the lamb takeaways we tested contained other meats.  We believe you should feel confident in the food you eat. So Which? has launched a campaign to Stop Food Fraud. 

Just 56% of people in the UK have told us that they are confident that the food they buy is what it says it is. We think people are right to be worried. We tested 60 lamb takeaway samples and found:

·  Of 30 lamb kebabs tested, only 9 contained just lamb.

·  Of 30 lamb curries tested, only 22 were 100% lamb. 

·  3 curries contained no lamb at all. 

·  There were 5 samples where we couldn't even identify the meat.

Food outlets should be straight about what's on your plate. So we're calling on the Government, the Food Standards Agency and councils to act now and stop food fraud.
