Tax Dollars should fund Accelerated Learning programs, not homeschoolers' Netflix!

Florida! Did you know your tax dollars currently pay for “educational items” such as 55-inch TVs,Spotify,Netflix,Disney tickets,Legos, surfboards,Pelotons, swing sets, picnic tables, and household internet service for the 59,925 Florida kids homeschooling or in private schools using the state’s Personalized Education Program (PEP) “scholarship funds” in 2024-25?
Meanwhile, over 110,000* students in FL public schools are enrolled in accelerated learning programs (*not including kids in dual enrollment and career tech education). And our lawmakers in Tallahassee are planning to cut the public school program funding BY HALF while funneling EVEN MORE TAXPAYER MONEY to PEPs.
We are running out of time to stop these cuts, and if they pass they take effect July 1, 2025.
