I am writing to bring to your attention a distressing phenomenon that poses a significant threat to our community—the involvement of a foreign power in the radicalisation of children and its implications for the Eritrean community in Australia. Currently, we are grappling with a situation where limited resources hinder our ability to counteract the process through which our children and adolescents are exposed to foreign government-sponsored intemperate ideologies, ultimately leading to the adoption of radical beliefs and engagement in sweeping activities within our community.

Despite Australia having a legal framework in place to address such activities, our community faces a unique challenge—the intentional propagation of radical ideology by the Authoritarian Eritrean regime. Previous similar events organized by entities linked to this regime are known for promoting hatred, propaganda, and radicalization, including that of underage children. The upcoming event in Melbourne, organized by the criminal regime through its Australian entities, namely the 'Victorian Eritrean Community Association' and the 'Eritrean National Communities Council,' is particularly concerning.
