Title IV-D can suspend your drivers license and bring criminal charges against a person for child support that is not paid, as US citizens we were given free will and rights. How is suspending someone's license or filing FELONY charges for neglect going to help the person pay that child support? It isn't, in fact it is going to hinder them further from making any payments at all. How can a person get to work for one if they cannot drive? How can a person work if they have been convicted of a Felony for nonpayment of child support? The answer is simple, they can't and won't. The only person that is getting hurt during all of these ridiculous proceedings taking away our free will and rights, is the child. In almost all of the cases that I know of, the child/children are the ones suffering becuase the custodial party only cares about the money or lack of support being paid and the custodial party most often denies visitations because of this. Why can the government not see who is really hurting who in these situations? What about the fathers who did not want a child and was given false information about tubals or birth control? I for one think that taking someone's drivers license, giving them a felony, taking their property, right to get a fishing license, right to get a passport, etc is one of the worst things that you can do to a parent. We all need to stop and take a look at the bigger picture here, raising a child should NEVER be about money, it should be about raising a successful adult who can be a productive member of society and is shown that mothers/fathers may not live in the same household, but can come together for that child and show him/her that co-parenting is possible with the right ingredients. Taking rights and free will is not the answer to get the child support paid, the answer is really helping parents work together to raise that child no matter the circumstances, it should not be about money. Money is the root of all evil and it is destroying families and worst of all damaging our children, our future. Help stop the child support division from taking everything from us because we cannot pay support when they want us to, but instead SHOW SUPPORT BY ENCOURAGEMENT AND THE IMPORTANCE OF A FAMILY UNIT!!
