District Attorneys are refusing to follow through with rape cases because they are difficult cases. Rapists are continually not arrested because the District Attorneys offices are understaffed and cannot keep up with cases that demand more time on cases that are not an obvious "win".  This is an epidemic. Rape is not something that people like to talk about - so it goes ignored. One out of every FOUR girls will be raped by the time they graduate from college. It is an epidemic. Just about everyone we talk to knows someone that this has happened to or it has happened to them. People you know have been through this but never tell because it goes ignored. I will be my daughters voice until I can no longer speak. Please sign this petition and send to your friends as a favor to me - so that we can get enough signatures to make a change. My husband and I found our 18 year old daughter locked in a bathroom with a 30 year old man. Her BAC was three times the legal limit as shown by hospital lab reports. We have male DNA from the rape kit and yet the District Attorney's Office from Schenectady New York refuses to prosecute this case.
