Stop Christopher Luxon closing the suicide prevention office

Stop Christopher Luxon closing the suicide prevention office
The issue
Have you ever felt suicidal, alone, or even like there's nothing left to live for? Sadly many people feel this way and around 565 people didn't reach out. But for the people who weren't scared or decided to reach out, they had the suicide prevention office. But with the government making new budget cuts they are targeting the suicide prevention office, leaving people who feel alone, and suicidal. The government is telling people his tax cuts mean more to him than the people of New Zealand are, Mental health is no joke
Christopher Luxon has labeled the jobs in the suicide prevention office “Wasteful” and “back of office” If he had any idea how hard it is with a battle of mental health or the pain of; losing someone to suicide he wouldn't be trying to touch the offices or their jobs as the office is essential to all people, there friends and family. Imagine getting the call saying someone you loved took their life and didn't reach out, that wouldn't be a nice feeling, would it? With the suicide prevention office not being closed and their jobs being kept there will be someone for your loved ones to reach out to, to know they're not alone, and to get all the support they need.
If these jobs and office in the suicide prevention office get closed there will be without a doubt that the suicide rate will skyrocket as there is no help for people who feel suicidal. So let's all work together and battle the government to not touch the suicide prevention office or any of their jobs to keep our friends and family around, you never truly know how someone is feeling or how bad their mental health has gotten some people to feel like they are being a burden speaking up saying how they feel having the suicide prevention offices in place there is a person for them to reach out to, someone they don't know someone they won't feel like there being a burden to as they know the office is here to make you feel seen, heard and cared about. There should not be any reason the government should even think about going there and touching the offices and their jobs
