Stop Christian Persecution Around The World

Stop Christian Persecution Around The World

The Issue

In America, we all take our freedoms and liberties for granted. We can worship the one true God the way He created us to. We can sing praises to Him in public church services. We can carry our Bibles around to our college campuses and share the love on Christ with anyone we meet. We go to church on Sunday morning, on Wednesday evening, to Bible study during the week, and we can sing and read and fellowship without the slightest thought that what we are doing so flippantly, others give their lives for.

In multiple countries around the world, people who profess belief in Jesus Christ are being persecuted for their faith. In some of these nations it is against the law to share your faith with others, even with your own children. It is illegal to own a Bible, to pray to God, or to have an unregistered church service or Bible study in your home. Those who boldly follow Christ (regardless of government laws and prosecution), can face harassment, arrest, torture and even death. Yet Christians continue to meet for worship and to witness for Christ, and the church in restricted nations is growing. Christian continue to do this, despite their persecution, because they believe in the message of Jesus Christ. They believe Christ is worth being put in jail, being beaten days on end, being starved, and being killed.

Fathers are taken away from their families because they don't want their children being taught the Koran in school.

They are locked in jail for years on end without a trail for having a church service in their homes.

Their homes are set on fire and their children are burned alive, simply for possessing a Bible.

They are detained for months, even years, without being charged with anything and without a fair trail, all because they share their faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

As Christians and proponents of the Gospel, we all share something that runs far deeper than skin color, national origin, political affiliation, race, or gender. We share a Creator, a sovereign and loving God, and we share a Savior who has poured out His innocent blood to save us from God's judgement towards our sin. Nothing should stop us in our call to share the love and gospel of Christ with all the nations, and when we see our brothers and sisters being persecuted and killed for the same faith that we have, we should do something about it!

Demand today to end Christian persecution around the world, and encourage your Christian friends and family to do the same. Only when we stand together and fight can positive change be achieved.
