We were horrified when we saw this footage.

Brutality beyond belief was perpetrated against helpless animals at Carey Bros Abattoir situated in Yangan, 20 mins outside Warwick Qld, Australia.

Carey Bros Slaughterhouse has a shameful track record. In 2019, 21 breaches of animal welfare codes were recorded in just one day of filming. Astonishingly, not only did they evade prosecution for their heinous acts, in 2022 they were rewarded with a staggering $250,000 from the Queensland government. 

The release of new footage by Farm Transparency Project from cameras they placed at Carey Bros in September last year showed multiple breaches of state and federal laws.

This footage shows a systemic culture of casual cruelty and violence. This happens under the watchful eye of Manager Ben Cooper, however owner Greg Carey must bear full responsibility for what happens in his facility and he must be held accountable.

Carey Bros are repeat offenders.

Sheep, goats, pigs, cows all suffered at the hands of Carey Bros workers. There was no oversight. Animals were punched, kicked, stabbed, pulled by ears and horns, shoved and thrown, beaten with sticks, improper stunning, being killed while fully conscious with no stunning at all. A cow was dragged by a rope around her neck into the knockbox. Pigs were lowered into scalding tanks while conscious.

It's crucial that Carey Bros  be held accountable. The bone-chilling cruelty  this slaughterhouse is committing under our very noses can not continue to be ignored. As a society that values compassion and justice, we must ensure that all living beings are treated with kindness and respect. These are fundamental rights not limited to humans. 

It's time to shut down Carey Bros and penalise it for the atrocities it has committed. Please sign this petition and stand with us against animal cruelty. We demand justice for these innocent creatures!
