A landmark building in Abergavenny is now the focus of local outrage. 

The beautiful Carneige Library in the heart of the small Market Town Abergavenny, has being given permission by Abergavenny Council to be converted into a mosque.

However, this permit has been delayed due to local residents and 2 Councillors objecting.

There IS a legal challenge in process. We are calling on the council to withdraw the change of use and to not forget the heritage of this beautiful building. 

 For the council to overturn the Welsh Residents and to allow what is a fundamentally important building to be converted into a mosque, shows a preferential treatment to faith over the local learning resources for adults and children.
