The State Examinations Commission (SEC) has statutory responsibility for the conduct of the Leaving Certificate examinations and should provide a contingency plan for students in the coming days.

On behalf of tens of thousands many worried and anxious students across the country in Leaving Cert we would be very grateful for any information regarding a plan of action to facilitate this years orals, aurals and written exams.

It is unfair to cause so much uncertainty around this as it already causes enough stress and anxiety to the mental health of young teenagers. We are aware it is a stressful and uncertain time for all but it puts us students in a very vulnerable place. Any information regarding a contingency plan should be given as soon as possible preferably in the next coming days.
