We, the students, faculty, staff, and members of the Stanford community, support replacing grass landscaping with drought tolerant native plants.
The Issue
California is in the worst drought in its recorded history. Stanford has only cut 5% of its total water use since the on set of the drought and has not made any cuts to campus irrigation, which comprises 40% of its water use. We want to gather community support from students, faculty, staff, and alumni to support replacing grass landscaping with drought tolerant native plants on Stanford campus.
