We hereby sign this petition to lobby the extension of all deadlines due to uncertain circumstances. In light of the current issue surrounding the Covid-19 virus, Solent university remains open but has stopped all face-to-face teaching and moved teaching online. The university's online Portal can't currently accommodate online learning which is making the completion of deadlines that haven't been extended difficult. We believe that even though teaching has been moved online, our learning experience has been severely hindered as Solent's online portal is not sophisticated at any point to meet our learning needs in time for our deadlines. As a result, we believe, that all other deadlines should be extended in line with the FMP. 

However, should our access be limited further as the situation deteriorates, that deadlines should be postponed until the university is fully functioning again. For those on creative courses it is also completely impossible to finish assessments as they are completely reliant on access to the universities facilities. If the university closes this will severely hinder our capabilities of finishing assessments.  In addition to this, if the situation should stabilise, that appropriate measures are implemented in order to allow normal study to resume and students to complete assessments. 

We also strongly believe that the university should have suspended all deadlines until the situation becomes clearer.
