FOUR HIGH-DENSITY DEVELOPMENTS ARE PLANNED FOR OUR AREA –BRINGING MORE GRIDLOCK AND DESTRUCTION OF WILDLIFE HABITATS
Your nightmare commute WILL get worse. Forests, wildlife habitats, salmon-bearing streams and wetlands WILL be destroyed. AND, you could wake up one morning to the sound of bulldozers and chain saws destroying the property right next to you.
The four major/intense development projects affecting all of us are: Cathcart Crossing-286 town homes, Moray Village-85 town homes, Paradise Garden-362 apts, and Cathcart West-1,000 homes. They will result in the destruction of at least 200 acres of wildlife habitat. Cathcart Crossing is just the first, adding over 3,000 daily trips (53% to SR-9), absent infrastructure improvements.
It will get worse if we do nothing. We are a group of concerned citizens that care and want to do something to stop this, and we have formed a non-profit organization called Conservation and Preservation Society to further our efforts. We have hired one of the best land-use attorneys in the State, Rick Aramburu, to help stop developers from destroying our beautiful area. He filed an appeal on our behalf last Friday 7/29/22 in an effort to stop the Cathcart Crossing development. If you want to protect our communities, please support our efforts. Highway 9, Broadway and SR-522 are already traffic nightmares, and the destruction of over 200 acres of natural habitat is unthinkable.
