PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATES - Despite dangerous/gridlock traffic conditions, Snohomish County keeps accepting applications for high density development along Paradise Lake Rd/SR522/SR524 (Maltby Rd) Interchange, and the intersection of Hwy 9/Cathcart Way. This must stop. Please sign ASAP.
3 MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS PLANNED IN EXTREMELY CONGESTED AREAS
(1) Paradise Lake Rd Garden Apartments - 360 apt units or 220 town homes
(2) Moray Village, behind Maltby Cafe, on Maltby Road - 85 town homes
(3) Cathcart Crossing - 286 town homes corner of SR9/Cathcart Way
Postcards only go to residents w/in 500ft- there are none. Signs are obscured so citizens often miss 30day comment period. No comments- GREAT. We slide under the radar.
Both SnoCo/WSDOT know this will be a nightmare. Plan is to have developer's mitigation ensure the Level of Service (LOS) after construction is no worse than current. Geez, it's going to be worse gridlock all day now during construction, then we get to go thru it again when the WSDOT Interchange gets funded.
SnoCo must declare a permit moratorium on all high density development along the Paradise Lk Rd/SR522/SR524(Maltby Rd) Interchange and Hwy 9/Cathcart Way UNTIL the WSDOT Paradise Lk Rd/SR522/524 Interchange is built, and SR522 and Hwy 9 widening is complete. These developers are in violation of GMA (RCW)36.70A.020[1] and [13] Please sign the petition to stop these actions.
