Midwestern Kpop fans are often offered the short end of the stick. Most concerts are on the East or West coast, thousands of miles away and unreachable. A concert in Chicago is a once-in-a-lifetime event for thousands of Midwestern fans, drawing attendees from multiple surrounding states.

However, EXO's concert in Chicago on February 19th is scheduled for the Rosemont Theater, a small venue with only 4,500 seats. The three other venues on EXO's tour have capacities varying from 6,000 to 16,000.

A small venue with a small stage, such as the Rosemont's, cramps the artists and their performances, especially EXO, who is used to a larger stage. This will also drive up ticket prices and force them to sell out in seconds. When the cities were selected, Chicago got 7,500 votes, yet only a little over half that many will be able to see the concert.

Other venues available in the area on the date of the concert include the Sears Centre, with 11,000 seats, and the Allstate Arena, with 18,500 seats. With EXO's massive fanbase, a venue such as the Rosemont just doesn't make sense. A larger arena will be better for the company, better for the fans, and better for EXO themselves.
