Sign to keep 20 wild baby animals & their mama at Yarra’s Edge before its too late

The issue

Baby animals desperately need your help! We want to give 20 of them as well as their giant universal mother gorilla a forever home. Your voice can save them.

‘Wild About Babies’ first landed on the shores of Yarra’s Edge to the delight of all who visited. Quickly people began interacting with them, climbing, cuddling, taking photos, and reading the information pages. With their fluffy tails, sweet smiles, and adorable faces, they charmed all visitors with the ease only babies can find.

But their future here is uncertain. We are begging you to sign this petition to keep them in their home.

In partnership with WWF Australia and Mirvac Residential, we wanted to create one of the largest public sculpture experiences in the world that celebrated the incredible diversity that exists within our animal kingdom. Wild About Babies was born to give locals a chance to engage and connect with the wild.

But it was also a way to spark the nurturing fire in their hearts.

We have a duty to protect all children. It doesn’t matter whether they’re your own kids, your niece or nephew, or the kid down the road. It also doesn’t matter if it’s a completely different species! All babies are innocent, perfect, and in need of protection.

'Wild about babies' has invited the public to learn and get up close with 20 baby endangered animals as well as their magnificent 3m tall mother gorilla. This great mother is the protector of all babies. She speaks to our overall message - that no matter what species we are, we can all protect babies from harm.

Wildlife populations have plunged 69% in only 50 years. Protecting the new generations of wildlife is one of the most important things we can do to save the planet.

Through this exhibition, thousands of dollars has been donated to WWF Australia. It has started conversations about conservation and shared information about different species. ‘Wild About Babies’ has helped people to find the love and joy in protecting wildlife. This is the first step to making a real difference for all animals.

It is our dream that this exhibition can continue to raise awareness for endangered species while at the same time inspiring a world that is more loving, thoughtful, and where all living creatures are protected.

So many community members have sent us beautiful and emotional messages begging us to keep the babies in Melbourne. They shared how their lives have changed for the better since the gang arrived. They’ve added beauty, fun, and made the precinct a more loving area.

Please support us and help all baby animals by signing our petition for change to give them a forever home.
