Many players of the Luxembourg Basketball League (FLBB, Total League, National 2 League, …) are upset due to the fact that some clubs seem to be ready to break the gentlemen agreement. Therefore we, the youth players and the luxemburgish players want to stand up! Bringing more import players (non-JICL players) will ruin the future of youth players to compete a the highest level, bring less people to our gyms and will ruin our clubs we play for. WE JUST WANT TO PLAY BASKETBALL! CAN WE?

WHAT IS THIS GENTLEMEN AGREEMENT:
The articles of the FLBB (Luxembourg Basketball Federation) allow a club to play with 3 Import Players (non-JICEL players) due to a decision of the European commission in 2012. The affiliated clubs of the FLBB however decided to limit the number to 2 Import Players (non-JICL Players) to give youth players the chance to develop their talents and in order to preserve the amateur setting of our League. The future of a well functioning league is now endangered. Sign this Petition to support the luxembourgish basketball players and especially the youth players!

The goal of this petition is to introduce to the next general meeting of the FLBB an articles change in order to create a rule that 3 JICL Players have to be on the court at any time during the game, a rule that is active in many countries around the world but has forgotten to be set up in Luxembourg. Support us in order to support our youth players, our talented players and to keep all the people working for the different clubs motivated!
