Joe Rogan, one of the most influential podcast hosts in the country, said this week that the Iran war feels like a betrayal.

“He ran on no more wars,” Rogan said of President Trump. “End these stupid, senseless wars. And then we have one that we can’t even really clearly define why we did it.”

Many Americans supported an America First platform that promised to avoid new foreign entanglements. Now, with rising oil prices and no clear end in sight, voters across the political spectrum are questioning what changed.

This is not about party loyalty. It’s about promises.

If leaders campaign on ending wars, they should not lead the country into new ones without a clear explanation, clear objectives, and clear limits.

We call on the Trump administration to explain the long-term strategy, define measurable goals, and prioritize de-escalation.
