Unfortunately, in recent times, the scheduling of AFL games before 3:00 pm on Anzac Day appears to overshadow the importance of this solemn observance. The essence of the day seems compromised when sports events are scheduled while remembrance services are still being conducted. This not only distracts from the day's primary focus of honouring our fallen heroes but also conveys a message that entertainment takes precedence over commemoration.

Statistics show that a significant number of individuals participate in Anzac Day ceremonies both locally and internationally.
