We oppose HB394 which would allow the Texas Lottery to conduct lottery drawings on Sunday's.  As it stands today, the Texas Lottery conducts 140 online drawings each week which is exorbitant. 

By allowing drawings on Sundays and by playing Pick3, Fireball, Daily 4, Fireball and All or Nothing 4 times and Cash 5 once each Sunday, they will be adding another 21 draws - increasing the total number of draws to 161 per week which is unconscionable. 

To add insult to injury, in August 2021, the TLC plans to increase Lotto Texas, Extra, Powerball and Powerplay to 3 draws per week meaning there will be 165 drawings each and every week.  These games have extreme, outrageous odds and few winners.  They should not be played 3 times per week.  But online sales continue to decline so the Texas Lottery is desperate for a solution.    

Senators, please be advised, we strongly oppose Sunday draws (HB394) and the increase of Powerball, Powerplay, Lotto Texas and Extra to 3 draws per week (Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays).  We simply cannot afford to play the numbers we want to play as many times as the Texas Lottery is requiring.  Rather, we would prefer fewer drawings for most games.

Please relay our message of opposition in increasing Powerball and Lotto Texas to three draws per week to the Texas Lottery.  They won't listen to us - our comments are disregarded, ignored and shunned.
