This petition is for the graduating class of Seneca College's ACV program.

We understand as a class that COVID has brought in a lot of uncertainty, and though we can see the stress that this has put on our faculty and professors, we had some changes that we believe would be beneficial towards our fellow students and would like to see implemented for the Winter 2021 Semester.

We are signing this petition to support graduation taking place at its regularly scheduled time in June, and to not be delayed to October due to the in-person workshops that would take place after the online curriculum is completed in late April. Due to the unknowns of the virus and the fact that there are no guarantees that restrictions will be lifted by late April, we don't believe that prolonging graduation will be beneficial as a class. However, we do see the workshops as still being useful for our fellow students. That is why instead of making the workshops mandatory, we propose making them optional instead. This will allow students to reap the benefits of the workshops if they choose, and it also allows students the option to graduate in June if they choose as well.
