The Goal

Have Elon publicly commit to being onboard the first manned flight to Mars.

Why go to Mars?

It's important for the species. Elon said so!

• Planet diversification. We have a blue and green one, let's go get a red one.
• Something about mining?
• It's in all the sci-fi books.
• Live out your colonialist fantasies in isolation.
• It's a clean slate. Build an actually good society.

Why Elon?

Isn't it obvious? He's the richest person on the planet! It's scientifically proven the only way to achieve that is through innate ability, ingenious problem solving, and best-in-class leadership and stewardship, it's clear Earth's only option is to send out absolute best. That's Elon.

But how?

Amazingly, Elon is already 100 steps ahead of us and is building a rocket to go to Mars. He solved the problem of going really far by making the rocket reaaaallllly big. What a fucking genius! 

So... why a petition then?

While he's already building a rocket, we're still waiting to hear Elon tell us when he is going there himself. This is our ask for him to be on the first rocket. And to launch that rocket as soon as possible.
