It is unfair for many students to be deprived of their opportunity to sit their exams. Prelim exams are different for every school, and classwork may not reflect their performance in the final exam.

A solution to this is simply to postpone the exam, moving the examinations to a later date. This is especially unjust to people doing their higher and advanced higher exams, who didn't perform as well in their previous tests. This will rob them of their futures.

The SQA did not give the students and teachers enough time for evidence collection, instead waiting until the closure of schools to announce that they have cancelled examinations. This was a huge oversight on their part and the students should NOT have to pay for their mistakes.
