Some schools will not allow people with learning difficulties to use their overlays or have coloured paper to help them read and sometimes even write which leaves them behind on school work as they are struggling more than the rest of the class. I have been through these problems myself and people with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, irlen syndrome, scotopic sensitivity etc are refused use of their overlays or are refused coloured paper. This petition will help to get schools to respect young people’s needs.
