We are raising serious concerns about the safety of pupils, families, and staff using the Hillview Primary School car park.

The current layout is no longer fit for purpose. As the school continues to grow—alongside increasing housing developments in the surrounding area—the volume of traffic has risen significantly. This has created a hazardous environment, particularly during drop-off and pick-up times.

Parents and carers are increasingly worried about:

* Congestion and lack of safe pedestrian pathways

* Limited visibility for drivers and pedestrians

* The risk posed to young children navigating a busy car park

Unfortunately there have been a few near misses and it should not take a serious accident for these concerns to be addressed.

We are calling on the relevant authorities to urgently review and improve safety measures at the school, including traffic management, pedestrian safety, and overall car park design.
