Dress code is important and it enforces rules but how are girls ankles distracting? Why should anyone be punished for earrings in your lobe and miss education when they are studs and not distracting as teachers wear them and are teaching us ? We have been told to express ourselves but rules are in place to not express ourselves. Stud earrings in our ears are not distracting girls ankles are not distracting sexualising them is distracting? So why should anyone of any identity be punished for stud earrings in ears and miss education and lesson time and we are told it is distracting.  when when learn until we are eighteen years of age and from college the rules are not enforced and we can wear earrings and express ourselves simply so as we are learning they are not distracting. And taking jewellery away from us and not being held accountable if it gets lost is seen as wrong in student’s eyes. “Earrings over Education”- do not let us miss class time for expressing ourselves through studs and non distracting jewellery and ankles.  Thank you for listening
