We the people of SC and the South have a right to have a piece of our heritage on display. In today's world, so many groups are allowed to champion their heritage and history while ours is being systematically removed. It is time we stand up for ourselves and tell the government that we will no longer allow this to occur. We have a duty to remember and honor the thousands of southerners who died in the defense of their homes. We call for the Confederate flag to be replaced on the statehouse grounds and Confederate memorial. The compromise of 2000 has been breached, and we too want equality.
