Say No to Large Scale Energy Projects on Lincolnshire Farmland

The Issue

How many thousands of acres of panels are planned on farmland?

Over development of industrial solar is sprawling over our countryside, occupying vast areas of good farmland for the rest of our lifetimes.

The lack of Government strategy provides little control of the volume, mix or siting as foreign conglomerates aim at draining money abroad for many years to come and keeping our electricity bills high to pay for it.

Most economic benefits delivered by these facilities will go to overseas investors.

The panels are wasteful, locking up good working farmland for a lifetime, while an estimated 630,000 acres of commercial roofs and buildings lie vacant. The land can grow energy or biodiversity crops one year, but it can be back to wheat the next.

This vast overdevelopment changes the nature of our countryside from farmland with woods and meadows to solar industry.

We do not agree with the siting of an electrical substation and battery storage units on the outskirts of the village of Navenby, Lincolnshire nor the siting of up to seven solar panel complexes feeding it.

Please vote against this proposal and help save our rural countryside for generations to come.
