Help me stop the desecration of Yanchep Lagoon. Everyday when I walk on the beach, I see more and more  people treading all over and  fishing on the reef in the Lagoon, not many fishing on the beach anymore. There are certain families who relentlessly hunt for Octopus, cutting their heads off in front of other families and their children.  It's terrible to witness. Children are pulling star fish off the reef while the parents watch. They are teaching their children not to conserve but to take and not give back.

The eco system on the Reef over the last 9 years has diminished drastically due to this. The are 4 seasons of Abalone fishing, where scores of people come down and literally tear the reef up.  It is only a small Reef and I feel we need to bring awareness and start to protect it before its too late.

As the suburbs are growing,  so are the numbers of people visiting the Lagoon increasing too. 

Please help me protect our Paradise in our back yard.

We are very blessed to have visits from Dolphin's , Seals, Pelicans  and even Whales. If we don't do something soon, this will stop too. 

It is a beautiful spot for snorkelling yet their are hardly any fish to see anymore.  Let it be a safe for all the sea life and a place for everyone to swim and enjoy the Lagoon in all its magnificent splendour!
