As you know we are at the point of a decision being made this week.  

There is a Township Board Meeting on Tuesday the 14th @7:00 pm.

This decision will be brought to the judge on Wednesday the 15th.

It is critical that we show up and and be specific with our requests to the board members during public comments prior to their closed door discussion.

How can we get their attention?

Can we ask for them to pause and take a look at what is before them?

What is so egregious about this operation that it should be shut down?  There have been no complaints, it is/was a thriving business engaged with our schools through equestrian programs.

It just takes one board member to question - How did we get here?  Do we have all of the facts correct?

A seed of negativity has been planted, heels have dug in.  How can we encourage them overcome and look at the Farm with a fresh approach?

Misinformation is causing stress and a divide within our community.  This inaccurate information has been damaging for our people as well as these amazing horses.

There are concerns from us the citizens,  that we have never had the opportunity to openly discuss the fate of the farm publicly.  The decisions that have been made to close the farm have all been made in closed sessions without our input. 

Can we as citizens request that a mediator get involved in order to be transparent?

The Farm has opportunities to expand its therapy programs but can not move forward under this uncertainty.  We have proposed a restructuring by adding a Communications Director to act as a liaison between the Farm and the Township.
 
Our Equestrian Teams are at a major risk of dissolving without a proper support system that only Windmill Farm provides.  

This Farm is a major asset to our community and all of the pieces are here to make it an amazing place.  
It is an entire package.  Let's encourage the Township to work together with us and fine tune it.
