We call on Norfolk County Council to transfer Wensum Lodge to the community rather than to the property developers. 

Norfolk’s only dedicated adult education centre is to be closed and the site sold by the county council. This Christmas will be its last.

For almost 60 years, the award-winning Wensum Lodge has given generations of Norfolk people new opportunities, learning and skills, and the social benefits of mixing with other people.

It’s given a second chance in life for many who lost out the first time around. Now it needs a second chance.

The Friends of Wensum Lodge want to keep the Norwich centre in community use. To rediscover and develop the services and skills the city and the county need. 

But Wensum Lodge, Norwich’s award-winning adult education centre, is being closed and sold by Norfolk County Council.
