Dear Neighbors,
Thank you again for standing up to protect our community from harmful overdevelopment like the proposed 194-unit project at 17100 Victory Blvd. Your voices have made a real impact — and now, we need your help again.
📣 NEW: Virtual Community Briefing on Balboa RV Lot
We’ve just learned that the Office of Mayor Karen Bass will be hosting a Virtual Community Briefing on a related project — the Balboa RV Lot, located at Balboa & Victory.
🗓️ Monday, September 29, 2025
🕠 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
📍 Zoom Registration: bit.ly/3VTtLFj
This virtual meeting is being hosted by the Mayor’s Office, with Council District 6 and Metro present. This is our opportunity to demand real answers about what is happening to Victory Blvd and the increasing congestion of our community.
📎 A flyer for the meeting is attached for your convenience.
🛑 Why It Matters
The Balboa RV Lot plan, along with the Victory Metro Station redevelopment and the 17100 Victory housing project, is part of a larger effort to transform Victory Blvd into a heavily congested corridor — with little input from the communities that live here.
Let’s make it clear: We do not want RV impound lots and massive projects forced on us without true community engagement.
✅ What You Can Do
✔️ Attend the virtual meeting on Sept 29 and raise your concerns.
✔️ Share this email and flyer with your neighbors.
✔️ Keep spreading the word — 711 signatures and growing!
Let’s show the Mayor and Metro that Lake Balboa is watching and ready to speak up.
With determination,
Christine
