The City Council at Van Nuys Meeting will start at 10:00AM. For those who are interested in making a public comment on not agenda has 1 minute to comment, I suggest you arrive at Van Nuys Hall 09:00AM to sign on the kiosk if you are planning to make a public comment.

There are guards at Van Nuys City hall, you have to go through the metal detector and they will advise where to go....but it's on the second floor. Turn left out of the elevator.

WHAT I PLAN ON SAYING:

 Hi, I’m Christine, a neighbor next to Birmingham High. I’m here to speak against the 17100 & 17500 West Victory Boulevard project. It would bring 500–600 new residents and 200+ cars, but only 88 parking spaces — leaving at least 100 cars to spill into our neighborhood. The only access point is not even a street — it’s the Birmingham High student crosswalk in a High Injury Network zone. Forcing hundreds of cars through the same path thousands of students use daily is dangerous. This is the wrong location. And Council member Imelda Padilla has ignored our community while also serving on the Los Angeles Metro Board of Directors — a clear conflict of interest in pushing this project forward. I’ve given you a handout with ideas and information you can reflect on to make a better decision. Please — stop this project. Thank you
