These venues are part of the integral social fabric of our communities, so much more than simply entertainment spaces, they are the lifeblood of our culture.

The UK is a world leading exporter of music, punching far above its weight, these venues are vital to that and without these places, the next generation of artists will struggle to succeed. We will have no Beatles, we will have no Skepta's or Adele's.

These venues also create many jobs and generate incredible amounts of money into our economy, something we need more than ever in our current climate.

This is an urgent call for anyone out there that loves music & night life and wants to help do something about the crisis faced.

We need our clubs' status upgraded to the level of ‘cultural institutions’ and afforded the same level of protection as theaters and concert halls. This would make them less vulnerable to urban development & gentrification and help with the financial strains they all currently face.

Germany led the way and made this happen in 2021 with untold benefits are now being reaped in their nightlife economy. If they can do it, why can't we?
