The issue

Right now websites are liable for everything posted on their servers that Australian users can read. Twitter is currently being sued because someone posted a defamatory tweet (https://theconversation.edu.au/will-marieke-hardys-twitter-case-change-australian-law-for-ever-5432). No website is safe. Collaborative consumption services like AirBnB and CouchSurfing are fully liable for anything that goes wrong. If this situation remains, large websites will need to block Australian users because the legal risk is too great.
