Sony has announced that on July 1st, 2026, they will be closing the PS3/Vita stores starting later this year in select countries. Sony is planning to fully close the stores by July 2027. If Sony closes these stores, players will forever be locked out of games, demos, avatars, themes, videos, and more.

What this petition is asking is for Sony to bring the entire PS3/Vita Store over to the PSN website, removing the Store app's usability on PS3/Vita consoles. This will not only solve the security problems posed by Sony but also keep the stores' entire library of content intact. Players would be able to access their purchases via the Download List on their PS3/Vita consoles. Simply find the items you purchased in the Download List and download them on the respective console.

This way, Sony keeps its security up to date, and players get to keep purchasing the vast libraries that the stores have to offer.
