It is the sad state of the world today where Cruelty towards animals have reached unprecedented levels. Should these innocent souls be left at mercy of humans? Or should we consider them our heritage and protect them. 

Below are some horrifying facts.

This is the same society whose chairman is so against the DOGS, community dogs as well as pets, that this election manifesto was 'Dog Free Priva'. And how did he planned to achieve that ? Not by sterilization, not by following the ABC rules, but by killing them.

In 2021, we lost 4 dogs to cruelty, one died mysteriously, second one was found to have wound caused by serrated metal rod, third,a most timid one vanished puff in air, and fourth one was stabbed.

It's a hard life for these dogs. They brave the sun, the wind and the rains. They have to scavenge the garbage for food. If they sleep below the cars, the security guards poke them with sticks and drive them away. Or simply beat them with batons because they can. Such a pathetic life!!!

Often fake incidents of being bitten by dog are fabricated to rally public opinion against these dogs and instill fear and disharmony. Why? Could it be because, the chairman is apprehensive that if people are unafraid and united, they might question his actions in regards to society's funds.

The caregivers of these dogs are humiliated on social media, bullied, threatened, shamed and defamed. They are ganged up by hooligan residents and the chairman. The lady security supervisor makes false allegations of caste abuse, so that these caregivers be jailed under Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) act 1989.

When so much injustice is happening around, what do the police do? Nothing. They are in league with perpetrators of this cruelty and abuse. They themselves threaten the caregivers in abusive language. So the caregivers fight a lonely fight to save these hapless community dogs.

These residents have a roof over their heads, a warm bed to sleep in, can have as many meals as they want and yet in their greed to gobble up the small space these animals occupy they subject them to constant suffering. The residents, in their vanity, snobbery, phobia and paranoia want to take away the right of these animals to live.

Help me protect these community dogs. Help me make this world a bit more kinder place for our future generations. Help me preserve the heritage of this planet. Help yourself to keep this planet a livable place.
