There is a story that played out too far many times across our nation a child is tucked into bed in the place they know best home their toys their favorite blanket the people who love them the smells and sounds that tell their heart you are safe and then suddenly without warning and without cause that world is shattered imagine a knock on the door imagine a bright and child pulled from Loving arms confused and crying asking a question no child should ever have to ask why am I being taken but talk but far too often the adults standing in authority do not have a good answer sometimes the truth is simple the system failed it removed first ask questions later and place your child into the hands of strangers sometimes strangers who should never have been approved at all this story is not about one family it is about many children who were taken not for their safety but because of Rush decisions poor investigations overwhelmed workers or policies that value procedure over people every wrongful removal leaves a wound that can last a lifetime a child losing trust apparent losing hope a family left broken trauma that cannot be undone wrongful removal should never happen the child is home should never be taken from them without clear verified immediate danger not based on assumptions outdated information or the judgment of a single worker having a bad day why it should not happen because a child's bond with their family is sacred because trauma from removal can be worse than the issue being investigated because every child deserves truth fairness and protection not from their family but from a system meant to help them children deserve safety not suffering suffering what I want to happen I am calling for change not for one case but for every child and every family who deserves Justice I want stronger oversight so no worker can remove a child without verified documented evidence of immediate danger transparency and accountability when mistakes are made independent review panels to investigate wrongful removals safer placements with full thorough background checks no exceptions protection of family rights including the right to be heard the right to do process and the right to be treated with dignity support for families not punishment when they are not a threat the system that prioritizes children's well-being over paperwork this petition is for every child who cried themselves to sleep in a strange bed for every parent who beg for answers for every family torn apart by system meant to protect them this is a call to do better for Truth for Justice for change for children
