Despite repeated denials the Shenstone Playing Fields Committee have for several months made it quite clear that they are not supportive of Shenstone Country Club or its staff. They have taken a very aggressive approach in all dealings, demonstrating rude and confrontational behaviour including using their phones to video staff and the public.

They have taken every measure to undermine the Country Club management including now resorting to legal action which has resulted in significant stress for all Country Club staff who are fearful for their job security. The Country Club exists for all the village not just as a club/restaurant but a meeting place for dog walkers, young & old residents, football teams and families.

 A recent petition has secured over 300 signatures but has failed to ensure any reassurance that the club is not under threat.

The Playing Fields Committee do not share their minutes like other charities. Why not? They say they have no plans to close the Country Club but actions indicate otherwise.

The relationship is close to breaking point and the bad feeling in the village and rumours are not good for our Village.

Please help the Country Club to stay open without threat and fear for the future.
