Save Princeton: Protect Our Roads, Our Land, and Our Way of Life

The Issue

Princeton is not just a place on a map — it’s a community.

It’s quiet roads where children can safely ride their bikes.

It’s open farmland stretching to the horizon.

It’s peaceful evenings, where you can stand outside and watch the sun set over fields that haven’t been swallowed by development.

That’s what’s at risk right now.

A proposed development is being considered that would change the very character of our town. This includes converting agricultural land to residential use and turning a quiet dead-end road into a through road — bringing increased traffic, noise, and safety concerns directly into our community.

This is not what Princeton was built for.

And it’s not what residents want.

Why This Matters

People don’t move to Princeton to be part of a growing, busy subdivision.

They move here to escape it.

We chose Princeton for the peace, the space, and the ability to raise our families in a calm, safe environment. This proposal threatens all of that — permanently.

Once farmland is developed, it doesn’t come back.

Once traffic increases, it doesn’t slow down.

Once the character of a town changes, it’s gone for good.

We’ve Been Here Before

A few years ago, sewer expansion plans — tied directly to enabling development — were rejected after strong public opposition.

That proved something important:
👉 When residents speak up, it makes a difference.

Our Concerns

We are asking decision-makers to seriously consider:

The safety risks of increased traffic on roads not designed for it
The loss of agricultural land and natural habitat
The impact on families who chose this area for its quiet and rural character
The long-term consequences of overdevelopment in a small community
The irreversible loss of scenic views and open space

Our Message Is Simple

We are not against growth.

We are against unchecked development that ignores the voices of the people who already live here.
