Save our shop or relocate us !
The Issue
This isn’t just about saving a shop—it’s about saving a vital part of our community.
Due to proposed new building developments, our business is at risk of being demolished. If this goes ahead, members of our team could lose their jobs, and we’ve been told there is currently nowhere suitable for us to be relocated by the council.
For many people, especially our elderly and vulnerable customers, we are far more than a convenience store. We are familiar faces, a daily routine, and a place where people know they will be greeted with kindness and respect. We notice when someone hasn’t been in for a few days. We help carry shopping, listen when someone needs a chat, and provide a safe, welcoming place that many people rely on.
We’ve spent years earning the trust of our community. We know our customers by name, and they know they can depend on us. Losing this shop would mean losing more than a business—it would mean losing jobs, trusted relationships, and a service that cannot simply be replaced.
We are not “just a booze shop.” We are a local business that provides essential everyday items, supports the people around us, and brings a sense of community that is becoming increasingly rare.
Please stand with us. Every signature sends a message that local people matter, local jobs matter, and community businesses deserve to be protected. Together, we can fight to keep this important part of our neighbourhood alive for future generations.
