Year 11 Pupils at St. Bede's High School, Ormskirk, were extremely disappointed to find out that the normal celebrations of their last day at school are proposed to take place in the middle of their GCSE exams, and NOT on their last ever day in high school.

Pupils are now worrying about their last day, instead of focusing on their continued studies for their GCSE exams, whilst many parents are also disappointed because they are unable to re-arrange prior commitments.

After attending St. Bede's for 5 years and studying extremely hard for the past several months, most students feel that their last day should be one to remember and celebrated in the same way that previous students of St. Bede's have done.

We believe that the current Year 11's last day should be celebrated on Wednesday 21st June 2023, in the normal way, including the leavers mass, shirt signing and customary send off at the front of school. 

We therefore call upon Mr Morgan to swiftly amend the current plans as outlined above.
