Multinational Cement Corporation Heidelberg Materials want to upscale operations and recycle C&D waste in Machen.

Crushing concrete in open air in this way is particularly harmful to both human health and the environment. 

There will be an increase of up to 180 Lorrie’s passing through the surrounding area PER DAY. As well as more trains, dust and general detriment to standard of living, health and property value.

The planning deadline for this project is the 18th November and the only meeting to consult the community on the 11th November was cancelled by the Quarry. A clear attempt to silence any opposition.
