Save God is Dope: Help To Reclaim $50 Million Dollars in Stolen Revenue

The Issue

There is a clothing company that was created to promote a blasphemous rapper who went by the stage name, “god”. For the past decade, they have been interfering with and stealing business from a faith-based clothing company, and it's time to expose the truth.

Today, we’ll be the whistleblowers who are calling a foul on Atlanta based apparel company, God is Dope, LLC. We are here to make people aware of the deceptive and illegal business practices by that company who has stolen over $50 million dollars in business.

In 2012, after Steve and his wife suffered their first of 15 total miscarriages, God spoke to him in the middle of him trying to cope with loss. Steve says “In our conversation, God told me that He was all I needed.” From there, the phrase “God is Dope” was birthed.

The following year, Steve started a brand that allowed him to share his faith with people. Through selling t shirts in graduate school, he was able to start building a faith based brand. While building his brand, his wife continuously suffered multiple miscarriages. In fact, Steve came extremely close to losing his wife during one of those miscarriages. In addition to that, Steve was also diagnosed with cancer; needless to say, their lives were full of challenges.

In the midst of facing those challenges, Steve learned that there was a company, God is Dope, LLC that tried to apply for the trademark, “God is Dope” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 2018. This was problematic because in 2014, the trademark which Steve owns, “If Love Is A Drug…God is Dope” was approved by the USPTO in the same trademark classification. The USPTO initially rejected God is Dope, LLC’s application because the trademarks were nearly “identical”. This denial by the USPTO did not stop God is Dope, LLC from continuing to illegally infringe on Steve’s trademark. Not only did they continue to violate his rights, but through further investigation, it was learned that God is Dope willfully defrauded many people of faith. It was learned that the “god” that they were and are promoting is a rapper who goes by the name, “god”.

Wait a minute, a company is intentionally pandering to God’s people by deceptively using church phrases and infiltrating faith groups all to promote a rapper…How blasphemous!

Steve has tried to reach out to the company in good faith to try and make this situation right, but they have ignored him and feel as though they do not owe him any restitution.

We are talking about over $50 million dollars in unlawful trademark infringement revenue made by God is Dope, LLC, but the original trademark owner, Steve King has not received any compensation from the company for the use of his trademark.

By signing this petition, you will help to bring clothing brand "God is Dope" back to the church and into the hands of its rightful owner. Let’s join together and let our voices be heard that God will not be mocked!
